The Regional Business Council has emerged as a powerful business voice for the bi-state political agenda, focusing on public policies that promote economic growth. Particular attention is devoted to overall fiscal responsibility and our regional infrastructure, most notably our transportation systems, ensuring the attraction and retention of businesses. RBC members work across party lines to represent regional interests and advocate for improvements.

  • Missouri Transportation Alliance (MOTA) is a nonpartisan, citizen-led group of transportation stakeholders, first responders, small businesses, cities, counties and community leaders who are committed to delivering a smart, sustainable long-term statewide transportation plan
  • Mississippi River Bridge project leveraged the RBC's regional influence and resources to champion a new bridge connecting Missouri and Illinois for the betterment of regional economic development

  • Lambert-St. Louis International Airport/Aviation Committee is a committee of representatives from RBC companies and other large companies throughout the region who have come together to provide input directly to the Airport Director and her Senior Administrators on maximizing regional air service assets, the overall airport experience, amenities for business travelers, and the availability of carriers and destinations

“The economic vitality of the region depends upon a viable infrastructure. While we’ve made great improvements in our air system, we still need upgrades in rail, water and road systems. It’s great to be a part of a group that

can put some real muscle into making these improvements happen.”
